WIN The Wackness on DVD!

The DVD for The Wackness came out today! In honor of that, MKAshley is giving away a free copy.

The Wackness is a coming-of-age tale set in New York City in the early nineties. Josh Peck plays Luke Shapiro, a lonely teenager who, in the first summer after high school, takes on an interesting part-time job to make some cash. Along the way to self-discovery, he starts hanging out with his high school crush, Stephanie, played by Olivia Thirlby, as well as his shrink, played by Ben Kingsley.
Mary-Kate Olsen plays one of Luke’s loyal customers, a hippie chick named Union. Her role is small, but MK absolutely transforms. And you can’t forget about the infamous kissing scene with Ben Kingsley?!
The DVD includes extras such as deleted scenes, two mini-documentaries- “Keeping it Real” which looks at a day in the life of writer/director Jonathan Levine, and “Time in a Bottle” which looks at the behind the scenes happening on the set of The Wackness, the first episode of “The Luke Shapiro Show” and commentary from Jonathan Levine and star Josh Peck.

I’d probably want to see MK do a role that was completely unlike her. A lot of her characters share similar traits of hers. It would be great to see her clean up her image and play a lawyer or something.
i would like to see her do role where she is in control of the situation. like keira knightley in domino, it would show her range.

I completely agree with all of you guys! Such a role would give her power and strength as an actress!
I would like to see her in a role where she is the main character. I would also like to see her and her sister in the same movie again but not at all related. i know they did it takes two, but i would love for mk to be the main character and her sister can play like the suppressed twin. and also i would like to see her play an insane person. just so she can have some range in her acting.
I would like to see her play a hard psychological role, like a woman who has a lot of problems in her life or something like that. That’s way we could see how strong is the talent of Mary-Kate in acting.

i actually think she plays the hippie girl very well, as it’s natural for her. i’d also like to see her have more of a central role in a movie. i believe zoey deschanel is playing janis joplin in an upcoming 2010 movie. i think mary kate would be amazing in a role like that. that’s what i’d like to see
I loved this movie, and I can’t wait to see MK break out into more roles that showcase her talent.
I’m not very understanding as they are Italian, but seeing this film I can say that actresses are extraordinary

I don’t know what role I would like to see Mary-Kate play but I would like to see her and her twin sister Ashley play in the same movie again!
I think she’s been making smart choices lately. She’s been suprising people with roles like these and the Samatha Who episode. I think she’s great at keeping people guessing and as much as I miss their twin-films – I think it was a smart move to continue on to doing more serious projects (that not only ‘olsenfans’ will enjoy – but other people in general). I think roles like this will prove to people that she is a great actress and that she can do other things than tween-comedie movies. I do miss those films though hahah.

i want to se mary kate and ashley do a movie together becase when they do it together i more fun to watch.
Like I said, I loved this movie. I would love see Mary Kate do something much more dramatic. SO far we have only seen her in more light-hearted things. I think a dark role would be awesome to see her in, something like a psychological thriller. So that we can see more of her range that we know she has in her!
I think that Mary Kate is an awesome actress and the whole hippie chick thing is really working out for her. At the same time I would like to see her play a very psychological, difficult role that would show everyone that she really can pull off “the difficult” stuff as well.
