Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been busy bees lately! Their fashion empire is taking off and they are taking their high-end line, the Row, to the next level with a New York Fashion Week presentation and a new website!

The ladies chatted with Style.com about launching the website, choosing the design team to create it, the philosophy behind it and more.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen finally got around to launching the Row’s official website. The site went live earlier today and features look books for all their collections, a news section, a mission statement and a shop feature that should be updated soon!

The website design is dark and simple. However it’s flash-based, which is unnecessary and cane be annoying. I’m just glad that the Row is finally becoming more accessible to everyone. It’s been such an elusive and private line.

Mary-Kate and Ashley are headed to the tents! WWD announced this morning that the Row, Mary-Kate and Ashley’s luxury label, will have an official presentation at New York Fashion week next month.

Time and date have yet to be confirmed, but Ashley told WWD that she and MK were pleased “to have our first presentation in New York.”

As 2009 draws to a close, everyone is doing end of the year and end of the decade round-ups. Today, WWD released their Year in Fashion retrospective. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were so prominent in the fashion world they made the list three times!

WWD has a preview of the Row’s Pre-Fall 2010 collection. The 20-piece collection features chic suit, cozy coats, leather miniskirts, shrunken cashmere knits and python jackets.

It’s a very chic and sophisticated collection from Mary-Kate and Ashley, which will surely appeal to the Row’s already dedicated customer base.

The Row Spring 2010 Look Book is now online! It was shot by Hanna Liden, styled by Danielle Nachmani, with hair by Kevin Ryan and make-up by Jeanine Lobell. The model is the stunning Ursula Konina.

The Spring 2010 collection features what the Row is now known for – classic, luxe basics. Sweaters, blazers and pencil skirts dominate the tribal-themed shoot. It’s luxe, lush and very practical. The woman who wears these clothes loves fashion but is very no-nonense.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are expanding their high-end luxury label the Row and adding accessories. Sunglasses, to be exact. WWD is reporting that the ladies have partnered with Linda Farrow Eyewear to create a line of eyewear that will range from $325 to $390 in price.
The first collection will features four different styles: a classic metal aviator, an oversize square frame, vintage-inspired brow-line rims and a pair of ’60s-inspired round shades.
The Row is entering into the sunglasses market cautiously and will look to expand if this inaugural capsule collection is a success.

Both Mary-Kate and Ashley donned the Row for the private celebration for the Spring 2010 collection at Bergdorf Goodman. Ashley wore the Weatherby dress she’s been seen in before and Mary-Kate wore the stunning leather motorcycle pant.

The Motorcycle Pant is available from Bergdorf Goodman for $1700.

I love these pants, as they have a bit more structure than leggings but give off that same sexy biker vibe. Mary-Kate looks great in them!

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen presented the Spring 2010 collection for their luxury label, the Row, Both girls look amazing, with Ashley wearing the same Weatherby Dress she wore to the Opening Ceremony party in Japan.

Mary-Kate is wearing a blue tweed jacket I’ve seen Ashley in before with leather motorcycle pants from the Row.

The party was held in a private suite at Bergdorf Goodman. Several fashion industry people came out to see the collection, including Rachel Zoe’s assistant, Brad Goreski! I wonder if this means we’ll see some pieces from the Row on Rachel’s clients.

Ashley Olsen looked amazing at the recent Tokyo launch of the new Opening Ceremony Mall. The mall will have a boutique for the Row. Ashley celebrated the event by wearing the label!

Ashley wore the Weatherby Dress. I love the neckline and cut of this dress. It’s sexy without revealing too much and so sophisticated!

It’s available at Zoe Online for $950. Ashley paired the dress with her Prada Studded Sandals, which are available for $720 from Barneys.
Her sunglasses are Ralph Lauren 8026s in tortoiseshell. She also wore these sunglasses when traveling from Toronto to Tokyo.
