In honor of the release of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s new book, Influence, Teen Vogue has put together a fun fashion timeline, looking back at MK and Ashley’s fashion growth from the time they were 3 to today.

They were certainly adorable in their matching outfits when they were younger! Thankfully, they’ve grown into sophisticated fashion icons with their own unique sense of style.

Ashley believes traveling first-class is a necessary extravagance and thinks Newman’s Own Foundation is a great charity. As far as clothing goes, it’s all about vintage and her own line, the Row.

Elle UK posted some sneak peek excerpts of their interview with Mary-Kate Olsen on their website. She “loves playing dress-up” and considers Edie Sedgwick and Brigitte Bardot to be her current fashion icons.

She also comments on how fashion is perceived differently by the fashion industry itself and by the tabloid magazines who often call her a fashion disaster.
The excerpt is very brief, but should tide you over until you can swipe a copy off newsstands now!

Mary-Kate Olsen is going to be on the cover of the next issue of UK Elle. To tease us, Elle has posted this behind-the-scenes video of her cover shoot!

I love how the creative director admits everyone is “vaguely obsessed with her.” The shoot looks really interesting–I’m excited to see the final product!

Mary-Kate Olsen is on the cover of this week’s Star Magazine. The tabloid is claiming that Mary-Kate has been partying really hard since the death of Heath Ledger and her friends are worried that she needs to enter rehab.
They cite her small fall in LA a few weeks ago as evidence of her hard partying. There’s a picture of it on the cover. After that, MK apparently spent a few days in a holistic facility and told Elle that she “talks to people”, but that isn’t enough. …read more

There’s a short piece and a great photo of Mary-Kate Olsen in the summer issue of V Magazine. It’s another promotional piece for her movie The Wackness. MK has done so much press for this film, you’d think she was the star!
Even though the article is really brief, I love how humble Mary-Kate is and how serious about acting she comes across as.

US Weekly has put together a slide show of what they think are fashion faux pas Mary-Kate Olsen has made over the past few months. While some of the outfits they selected aren’t great, it’s tough to take their opinion seriously–one of the pictures is of Ashley! If you’re going to criticize the girls, at least identify them correctly.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are featured in the Chinese publication Modern Weekly Lifestyle. They girls posed together–something they don’t usually do anymore–and the photos are absolutely gorgeous. They look very sleek and grown-up!
I know it’s new because MK is wearing a dress from Balenciaga’s Spring 2008 line, one of those floral neoprene dresses and there is another picture of her n the studded Givenchy coat. Beautiful!

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are getting a lot of tabloid coverage lately! This week, the battle over the billion dollar fortune rages on in the National Enquirer.
According to the magazine, MK and Ash are fighting over their money and Mary-Kate has been drinking heavily lately. Additionally, Star Magazine is reporting that the girls are absolutely sick of each other.
