Nina Garcia, Project Runway judge and fashion industry expert, recently made the move from Elle to Marie Claire. Marie Claire decided to celebrate by having all of Nina’s celebrity friends over for a big bash.

Guests included Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Lindsay Lohan, Heidi Klum and more.

Ashley kept it simple in a white t-shirt and slouchy cardigan whereas MK donned a cute black hat and voluminous black top.

On September 10, Ashley Olsen attended Stand Up for a Cure. This fundraiser event was to bring education and awareness to lung cancer and was hosted by Julia Roberts. Other attendees included the Gossip Girl cast, Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson and more.

Ashley looked great, wearing leather leggings and a long blazer. She’s wearing her hair a bit differently now–softer and wavier. What do you think?

So much for those silly rumors! Mary-Kate Olsen sat front row with pal Nicole Richie at the Proenza Schouler show yesterday at New York Fashion Week. MK wore the same large swing coat she wore to the Interview party.

After the show, Nicole and Mary-Kate dined together at the Carlyle.

I love the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week! Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been spotted at events all over the city! They’ve been rocking amazing outfits too–just when I get bored of their style, they mix it up and inspire me again.

Ashley has spent time at the Intermix’s 15th anniversary party on September 6. The event was hosted by Blackberry. Ash kept it sleek and simple with a black blazer and leggings and a white top with simple hair and make-up.

The next day, Ashley stuck to the black-and-white theme by pairing a long black skirt with a chic white top at the Calvin Klein anniversary show. Ashley and Calvin are a fantastic combination–both have such sleek, understated style. I love her hair and make-up.

Finally, Mary-Kate was picture-perfect glamour at the Diane Von Furstenburg celebratory dinner on September 7. MK hardly ever wears her hair up, and I must say that I really like it. Black is the color of fashion week. MK sports it here in a different look. What do you think?

The rain didn’t stop Mary-Kate Olsen as she looked happy and healthy at the Rock & Republic Fashion Show yesterday during the Spring/Summer 2009 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC. I’m glad to see her out of plaid!

Mary-Kate Olsen is gearing up for Fashion Week as any true fashionista does–she hit up the NYC nightlife. Her first stop was Interview magazine’s party for “A New Look,” where she met up with fashion icon Lauren Hutton, who is loved and adored by MK and Ashley.

I like MK’s swingy black dress and her extensions are out.

Her next stop was Dazed & Confused magazine’s MINI rooftop bash, which was held in a private, converted loft. MK hasn’t been to an event in a long time, so it’s nice to see her out and about. Hopefully, with Fashion week coming up, we’ll see lots more of her and Ashley in action!

Mary-Kate Olsen swapped her kimono-inspired white dress for a more casual pastel frock for The Wackness after-party. I think this look is another winner!

Mary-Kate plays Union, a hippie drug-user. At one point, she makes out with Ben Kingsley’s character in a phone booth. Her part is pretty small, but I’m still excited to see the film!

Mary-Kate Olsen looked gorgeous at the NYC premiere of The Wackness last night. The dress, the belt, the hair, the clutch, I love it all.

The Wackness will premiere nationwide on July 3. MK will be on David Letterman tonight to promote the movie, so be sure to tune in!

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen spent the weekend at BookExpo America, promoting their book Influence, which is being published by Penguin Young Readers in the fall.

A launch party was held in West Hollywood for the book, and over 70 booksellers attended to get a sneak peek.

“It was the first party to launch the book, and we just wanted booksellers to know that we’re really excited about it,” Mary-Kate told USA Today. “We worked so hard on it.”

Influence will be $35.00 and should be on newsstands in October. The book will have two different covers, one with Mary-Kate on the front and Ashley on the back and another with Ashley on the front and Mary-Kate on the back.
