Ashley Olsen’s Favorite Things
October 10, 2008 by Erin Balser
Ashley Olsen sat down with Vanity Fair to talk about her current favorite things. The one page spread (thanks thehollie!) appears in the October issue.
Ashley believes traveling first-class is a necessary extravagance and thinks Newman’s Own Foundation is a great charity. As far as clothing goes, it’s all about vintage and her own line, the Row.
Her beauty bag is a mix of high-end and low-end products. Mysteriously, mary-kateandashley products are missing from this peek into her bag. In August, there were several.
Ashley splits her time between LA and NYC, but decorates all her homes with peonies. She loves wine, ice cream and cheese and crackers.
It’s a pretty insightful look into everything Ashley loves and uses daily. Makes me feel like I know her!

Each gift pak will include:

What’s in your make-up bag?
Please leave a valid email address so I can contact the winners. The winners will be drawn randomly at 11:59pm EST on September 14th. For customs reasons, only those who live in the USA and Canada are eligible to enter.

mary-kateandashley Paper Me Pretty

mary-kateandashley has a brand new beauty product on the market. These make-up sheets are called Paper Me Pretty and are designed for the girl on the go. They let you quickly swab on some makeup and dispose of the sheets. I got some last week and I must say, it’s a pretty great product!

There’s blush, shimmer, bronze, and handy oil sheets to keep your skin glowing!
The packages are $3.94 each and can be found at Wal-Mart.
Also, I’m really excited to announce that MKAshley has paired up with DualStar and there will be an exciting Paper Me Pretty beauty giveaway next week, so stay tuned!
What’s In Mary-Kate Olsen’s Make-Up Bag?
August 22, 2008 by Erin Balser
After getting a chance to peek inside Ashley’s make-up bag, now we’re given the chance to see inside Mary-Kate Olsen’s.
Mary-Kate’s bag seems to have a lot less product in it. She carries a bit of everything, ranging from $27.50 YSL mascara to $4 mary-kateandashley Bare Effect blush and carries it all in a studded Stuart Weitzman clutch.

If you’ve ever wondered what Ashley Olsen carries around in her make-up bag, well wonder no more! She opens it up and reveals all at mary-kateandashley.com.
What’s in the bag is an interesting mix of low-end (mary-kateandashley $3 eye shadow) and high-end ($55 Terry Baume de Rose Lip Balm) products. And she carries it all around in a hip vintage Gucci clutch.
Find out what’s in Ashley’s bag here. I hope Mary-Kate opens her bag up next!
Mary-Kate and Ashley’s Make-Up Bad for Us
July 18, 2008 by Erin Balser
Thanks to a bit of research by Perez Hilton (I know, I know), I have learned that the Environmental Working Group has determined that most mary-kateandashley brand make-up is highly hazardous to the user’s health and their perfumes are laced with carcinogens.

Perez points to this database as proof and suggests everyone checks out their favorite brands.
I’m not a fan of Perez, but this is actually a good suggestion. Consumers need to be informed about the consequences the products they are using have on their health and the environment.
