Rumor: Mary-Kate Olsen Packs on the Pounds

According to this week’s issue of National Enquirer, Mary-Kate Olsen has packed on over twenty pounds, and the magazine is speculating that it’s because MK is pregnant.

The magazine does not come outright and claim this is in fact true. Rather, it just speculates it’s a possibility because MK has been looking healthier-her weight is up to 102 pounds-and that she’s eager to start a family with Nate. This was supposedly spurred by Heath Ledger’s death, because Heath told Mary-Kate that becoming a father was one of the best and most rewarding things he’s ever done.

This claim contradicts her statement in Influence, where she says she’d rather be a cool aunt or godmother.

Regardless of how or why MK has gained weight, she does look noticeably healthier. She seems happier too.

Ashley Olsen Celebrates Mango’s Grand Opening

While sis Mary-Kate was in Dubai celebrating the opening of Atantis, the Palm, Ashley Olsen stayed in Manhattan to celebrate the opening of Mango’s SoHo flagship store in NYC last night.

Mango is the fashion line Penelope Cruz designs and models for with her sister Monica.

I think Ashley looked gorgeous with her curled hairstyle and chic all-black ensemble. There was no sign of boyfriend Justin Bartha on the scene. I guess Ashley hit the party solo.

Mary-Kate Olsen Parties in Dubai

Mary-Kate Olsen is in Dubai, celebrating the grand opening of Atlantis, The Palm Resort, and the Palm Jumeirah. Over 2500 VIPs flew in for the bash, in what was dubbed the “world’s largest party.” Everyone from Lindsay Lohan to Oprah Winfrey was there. Guests enjoyed a fireworks show and an after-party DJed by Samantha Ronson. The party cost over $20 million dollars. That’s pretty lavish, but what else would you expect from a hotel that’s built on a man-made island?

According to News of the World, Nate Lowman is with MK. They are staying at the Atlantis together, but there’s no photos of Nate at the party. Perhaps he wasn’t one of the thousands of VIPs? (Thanks to jj for the tip!)

Ashley Olsen Casual Candids

Ashley Olsen has been spotted out and about in Los Angeles, sporting a very casual look. I guess she’s taking some time to relax after promoting Influence like crazy this past month!

On November 15, she was seen running errands in jeans, a grey sweater, a YSL bag and sunglasses. It’s a look that’s reminiscent of Ashley, but it feels like she just through it together. I hope she was just busy and everything’s okay!

On November 16, Ashley was seen getting coffee with boyfriend Justin Bartha. Again, she went super casual, sporting a striped t-shirt and jeans. She and Justin look so happy together. I’m glad that they are no longer hiding their relationship from the paparazzi. I bet that makes life easier for them.

Videos: Mary-Kate Olsen on Samantha Who?

Mary-Kate Olsen was on Monday night’s episode of Samantha Who?. Sam was pulled over by the police for an unrelated incident and something in her past popped up on her record, forcing her to do community service. It is here that she meets Natalie, a troubled young woman who is caught in a cycle of stealing and lying. Sam decides she’s going to make a difference in Natalie’s life and gets her a job interview at her old company.

PETA at Los Angeles Book Signing

X17 videotaped the PETA protest that took place across the street from the Borders store where Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were signing copies of their book Influence. They wore the same masks and carried the same signs as the protesters in New York.

These PETA protests get old fast.

Mary-Kate and Ashley’s Los Angeles Book Signing

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were in Los Angeles yesterday to sign copies of their book Influence. The event was very much like the one in New York-no phones, photographs or autographs on non-Influence items and PETA was outside, protesting the event. It went smoothly and there were tons of fans on hand to get their books signed!

MK and Ashley both looked gorgeous, MK going with a camel-colored dress and bright red belt. Ashley opted for separates, a leather mini and grey top.

In honor of the release of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s new book, Influence, Teen Vogue has put together a fun fashion timeline, looking back at MK and Ashley’s fashion growth from the time they were 3 to today.

They were certainly adorable in their matching outfits when they were younger! Thankfully, they’ve grown into sophisticated fashion icons with their own unique sense of style.

TV Dad Approves of Mary-Kate and Ashley’s Boyfriends

People sat down and chatted with Bob Saget about his grown-up television daughters–and how he feels about their current boyfriends! Thankfully, Bob didn’t have a problem with either Mary-Kate’s main man Nate Lowman or Ashley’s squeeze Justin Bartha.

“I approve of anyone that makes my friends happy, and they’re my friends,” Bob told the magazine. “I am protective of the people I love.”

I think the fact that People even asked is weird. Sure, Bob and the girls have a close relationship, but he was never a true parental figure. But it’s nice he approves of their boyfriends and wishes them only happiness.

Mary-Kate and Ashley’s November Hip Picks!

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are gearing up for winter with their November hip picks. MK is most thankful for hope, and Ashley’s thankful for change. Both are also thankful for their favorite concert venues–MK like the United Palace Theatre, whereas Ashley’s a fan of Madison Square Garden.

Both can’t live without their favorite pair of denim jeans. Mary-Kate loves Current/Elliott and Ashley is never without her Earnest Sewn pair. As for your own fashion choices, Ashley wants you to know that “less is more” and Mary-Kate wants you to “take risks and have fun.” Finally, their drink of the moments-Mary-Kate is guzzling Vita Coco coconut water and Ashley can’t get enough of english breakfast tea.
