Mary-Kate Olsen “Doesn’t Care What Anyone Thinks”

Lovely reader jj shared with me this excerpt from an interview designers Proenza Schouler did with POP magazine in the UK.
When asked about Mary-Kate Olsen,
They said they like her because she doesn’t care about what anyone thinks - she likes to do the exact opposite of how everyone thinks she should be like and not do the celebrity thing of being perfect. She doesn’t give a f***. They went to an art gallery and she was dressed in a headband, rastar bag, leather leggings and feather coat - she walked in and said she wanted that one and that one and walked out, she just doesn’t care.
Love it! MK is truly her own person, and that’s what makes her fantastic.
“You’re allowed to be perfect or you’re off the rails” Proenza Schouler said. “Off the rails is more interesting.”

Mary-Kate and Ashley have “finally had enough of each other.” They’re working on a fashion line but have conflicting styles, which is causing friction.
(Mary Kate hasn’t been doing the promo for The Row lately has she? so maybe that is where that story is coming from?)

That’s exactly what I love about Mary-Kate. She never pretends, she’s just herself no matter what people think about her.
