Mary-Kate Olsen at MET Opera’s 125th Anniversary Gala

March 16, 2009 by Erin Balser

Mary-Kate Olsen came out dressed to the nines last night to celebrate the Metropolitan Opera’s 125th Anniversary Gala at the Lincoln Center’s Metropolitan Opera House in New York City.

Mary-Kate looked stunning in a long black dress, curly hair and ruby red lips.

The event featured Met stars performing recreations of classic productions and was conducted by the MET’s longtime music director, James Levine. Tons of stars came out for the evening, including Brooke Shields, Diane Kruger, Kanye West, Ginnifer Goodwin, Claire Danes, Parker Posey, Willem Dafoe, Becki Newton, Claudia Schiffer and more.

It looks like MK was inspired by YSL’s Fall 2009 collection – pale skin, black clothes and red lips dominated his runway.

Mary-Kate attended the event with a male friend, who didn’t walk the red carpet with her. Some media outlets are identifying him as her ex-boyfriend, Max Snow, but I’m not 100% sure.
