Mary-Kate and Ashley PETA Protest

Here are some photographs of the PETA protest that occurred earlier at Mary-Kate and Ashley’s star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood.
The protests held signs with MK and Ash’s picture and a slogan saying “fur is worn by beautiful animals and ugly people.”

Them people must not have anything more interesting going on in their lives, so they stand there and call the girls ugly. What good do they think that they are going to be doing by doing this? What do they expect to get out of this and what makes them think that they are going to get it? The girls are just two people out of how many who wear real fur? If them people are going to go after the girls for wearing real fur, they should go after everyone else who does. Why they probably won’t do such a thing is because they know that they will be out numbered then, so they just decide to pick on two of youngest members of the group who wear real fur, which to me is an act of a scared person. If you can’t deal with the whole group, don’t go messing with any of them then because they will have a good deal of people to back them up!!!

One other thing, first impressions, to me, are the most important and if this is the way that the PETA people decide to turn their attention torwards the girls should it be their first time doing so, then the PETA people are stupid if they think that they are going to get what they think is good out of this.
Maybe if the PETA people had approached the girls in a more respectful way, maybe the girls would stop wearing real fur. What makes the PETA people think that throwing a “temper tantrum” first off is going to help them get what they want?

I do wish they wouldn’t wear fur or have croc bags or ponyskin bags because I’m sure that the girls do not eat them and therefore are not a byproduct. But, PETA does not believe anyone should own a dog or cat as it also is cruel. Too much.

I guess they shouldn´t wear fur but attacking them in this way is just not right. In first place why attack the olsens when they are not the only people on earth who wear fur. I mean not only they are not the only celebrties but normal people DO wear fur aswell. In second place, isn´t this “Hairy-Kate” and “Trashley” thing WAY to inmature? Come on, there are OTHER ways to protest against this situation. And I think that Mary Kate and Ashley are right when they say they should spend all that money on something that is actually good for animals, because while they are doing all this stupid stuff many animals are being killed, so they are not getting to the point. Are they?

It was a full house on Dec. 12 at the Bowery Hotel when none other than the Tanner family clan came in to play!
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, John Stamos and Bob Saget gathered at the New York City hotel at 11:30 p.m. and headed straight for a table for four to satiate Ashley’s grumbling stomach, an eyewitness tells OK!.
“I’m starving!” Ashley, 21, proclaimed immediately upon greeting her former co-stars, causing her TV dad to placate, “Whatever you want, you can get.”
While Ashley, sipping on a glass of red wine, hustled her family into the main dining room, her sis, clad in a green silk caftan and flats, hung back to chat with Uncle Jesse and socialite pal Derek Blasberg with a Heineken in hand before joining her crew.
“They were having a blast!” the source tells OK!. “Ashley was sucking down a plate of Spaghetti Bolognese and laughing like a 60 year-old man!”
That’s possibly from funnyman Bob, who had the whole table in an uproar — even interrupting a deep 10 min conversation between Mary-Kate and John, the eyewitness says. Intense!
To me, this PETA group is going after the wrong set of people. Why don’t they go after those who actually do the animal killing and the people who make the stuff out of these animals that are purchased by others? The girls and everyone else are just the buyers of these things. If these things were not made anymore, the girls and everyone else would just buy other things that are available to purchase.

The reason they are going after them is because in their new fashion line it features REAL fur, why not use fake? Because of them and anyone who wears real fur animals die for no reason! ITTS CRUEL!
I think many people are not getting the point here. If there are people who keep bying real fur than there will always be people killing animals or getting their fur while there are still alive. If there are no byers than people wont kill anymore!!!!!!!

Those murders take the fur of the animal (dogs, cats, bears etc.) while they are still alive and keep living after that.

Eating meat is different beacause we need meat to stay healthy. It has the most vitamins that people need.

i don’t believe that wearing fur is wrong. long time ago they used to wear it to warm up, and it’s the same reason why people are wearing it today. the only difference is that people now adays are enjoying it and making it look cuter.
Why cant u wear FAKE fur it does the SAME job as real fur and its less CRUEL! Theres no excuses!
First of all, if ANYONE makes the choice to wear fur they deserve to be protested against! I think it’s wonderful that PETA held up those signs to protest against Fur. It doesn’t matter who you are-if you choose to wear fur you are ignorant or just plain cruel. The torture the animals suffer just to be made into someone’s freaking coat is horrible. Any compassionate individual would never wear fur. Look it up-watch the videos. Educate yourself before your decide to support someone who parades around in dead animals fur. It’s just sickening. GO PETA!
killing animals is so not cruel, people slaughter them everyday. it’s part of the life cycle. they are made to make human’s life easier. we can benefit from animals when they are slaughtered in only two ways, for food and for warming up. this thing is known from the time of adam and eve.
if you would see things this way, then you would think why do we cut plants off, fyi: plants are living things!!

these girls are being targeted because of their
insensitivity and their emotionlessness towards the pain and suffering

PETA is respectful in that they approach them with
knowledge rather then threats or insults but
because of the choices they make, they pay the price

i see it unwise for you to preach that of

the ones killing the animals, that is their job, they are being paid
because fur is in demand because you admire and look up to the people
in magazines shown in furs so you buy it and
as long as people keep buying they will keep selling their product
but if the product stops with the consumer then the retail industry
serves to purpose to keep making fur clothing.
and it is true that plants are living things
but we don’t kill plants for fashion
they don’t have brains to signal them when they are “hurting”
they don’t feel as animals and humans do
and they don’t cry in pain.

i think this is a bit of an old news, but i feel the need to at least try to let you know…
i don’t wanna judge the olsens but if anyone should think peta is right to do those things because dog and cat fur is included in real fur and wearing real fur therefor contributes to the suffering of the dogs and cats, check up peta’s legal history. you will find out that they euthanize millions of perfectly healthy dogs and cats each year that come into their hands because they’re too lazy to find them new homes. their last trial was on early 2007 and i’m sure there are still many attainable articles on the net.
compared to the famous people they protest against for wearing fur…i think they’re no better.
the dif here is that mk and ashley are public figures. young girls everywhere follow their example. if they hunted the animal for food, used every single part of that animal for survival that may be different. some you people sound so ignorant. i protest against animal testing twice a week. am i gonna be able to stop this animal testing facility from torturing poor animals? most likely not, but i can sure as fuck raise awareness.

if anyone wants to make a difference, and this goes to both you people and PETA, do something that actually MAKES a difference. support the technology of fake fur. work, make, donate, or whatever to your local animal care center. study hard, be an entepreneur, create an eco lifestyle business and make it very trendy everyone would want to turn green. or something else. the fact is, there is WAY more efficient manners in handling this problem, and, really, screaming protest isn’t one of them. i don’t imagine the olsens would suddenly drop their fur coats because people scream at them.
