Mary-Kate and Ashley: College Drop-outs
September 10, 2007 by Erin Balser
The NYU student news is reporting that Mary-Kate and Ashley are officially no longer returning to school. Neither Olsen is enrolled in the school in any capacity, including deferral — which is how they have been enrolled the past few years.
They write:
NYU’s most famous twins have officially left the “House.” After months of rumor and speculation, a university spokesman confirmed actresses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are no longer enrolled at NYU.
The Olsens first enrolled at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study in 2004, causing a media frenzy. In October 2005, Mary-Kate took a leave of absence for “personal issues” and never returned, according to People Magazine. She maintained matriculation and went to Los Angeles, while Ashley continued to attend NYU.
The Olsens’ publicist said to WSN she could not comment because she doesn’t know anything about the twins’ personal lives.
MK admitted earlier this year that she left school because she felt unsafe, but had maintained her enrollment and desire to eventually graduate. Until now, that is.
While I think this is sad news, both MK and Ash are very busy women and I’m sure they will return to school if and when it’s right for them.
Thanks to Mike for the tip!

I can’t blame Mary-Kate for feeling unsafe. Don’t forget about what happened earlier this year in Virginia.
God bless you and Mary-Kate and Ashley and the victims of that day always!!!
