Mary-Kate & Ashley Launching Denim Line
February 3, 2010 by Erin Balser
Mary-Kate and Ashley are branching out. Elizabeth and James, their contemporary line, is now going to include a denim line. The cool twist? All the pairs of jeans designed for the line are going to be inspired by jeans in MK and Ashley’s own closets–dating as far back as high school!
The line will be called Textile Elizabeth and James and the items are named after rock stars. According to WWD, the inaugural collection features three pairs: a bell-bottomed stlye called the Hendrix; a low-slung style called the Stevie and a cropped pair named the Joni. Mary-Kate and Ashley stepped up their menswear game with Elizabeth and James Spring 2010 collection. It’s a perfect mix of timeless and trendy and you can see these pieces on everyone like hipster artists like Nate Lowman to more casual dudes like Justin Bartha (ha!). Even more fashion forward guys like Justin Timberlake and Kanye could find something in this great collection.
Barneys New York carries the Elizabeth & James menswear collection, where you can shop online or in store!

Elizabeth & James Spring 2010 Shoes
January 9, 2010 by Erin Balser
Mary-Kate and Ashley really stepped up their shoe designs for the Elizabeth and James Spring 2010 collection. Colorful flats mix with sky high wedges, tribal inspired sandals and new takes on the gladiator trend. They play with different textures in this collection, as you can see lots of natural materials are included.
My favorites are Catch, Greta, Primo, and Stomp.
I’m excited to see which celebrity wears these. What pair is going to hit the red carpet or late night talk show first?
These shoes will be available at ShopBop or a retailer near you soon.

Elizabeth & James Spring 2010 Look Book
January 8, 2010 by Erin Balser
FabSugar got a sneak peek at the Elizabeth & James Spring 2010 look book a little while ago. Now, the entire collection is available to view in color!
The collection is very on-trend, with a rocker edge, underwear-as-outerwearer pieces, neon and an 1980s New York vibe. You can see this collection on tough girls who want a high fashion girlie twist to their look.
I love the Tie-front Jumpsuit, Biker Pants, Iris Blouse, Joey Jacket, Beatrice Dress, and the Beatrice Tee.
I love going through the pieces and imagining how Mary-Kate and Ashley would wear them. Despite their distinct vibe, all these pieces are …read more

The Japonais printed silk dress from the Elizabeth and James Holiday 2009 collection is available from Net-a-Porter for $395.00.

Party E&J Style: Foliage Dress
December 9, 2009 by Erin Balser
With the holidays upon us, you’ll need the perfect party dress. It needs to stand out from the crowd but be versatile enough you can wear it over and over, as I’m sure you have tons of engagements in the coming weeks!
Once of my favorite party dresses by Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen is the “Foliage” Black Silk Strapless Dress. The fringed skirt is wonderfully flirty and the dark color makes it perfect for a winter party.
The Foliage dress is $495.00 from Bloomingdales.
For a look for less option, check out the Feathered Ruche Dress from Charlotte Russe for $36.99.
Blake Lively Wears Elizabeth & James on SNL
December 6, 2009 by Erin Balser
Blake Lively wore several gorgeous party dresses when she hosted Saturday Night Live yesterday. They were perfect for the upcoming holiday season and showed off her gorgeous legs!
Because I live in Canada, I can’t post the video here (silly Hulu!). But you can see the whole episode over at NBC.com.
One of the dresses Blake wore was the Elizabeth and James Luna dress in emerald green. I love the bell sleeves of this look and think it’s a perfect party dress!
You can get Blake’s dress for $375 from Saks Fifth Avenue!

Nate & Justin: Olsen Models?
November 17, 2009 by Erin Balser
Janet Charlton is reporting that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen convinced their boyfriends, artist Nate Lowman and actor Justin Bartha, to model in upcoming Elizabeth & James menswear ads.
Janet writes:
The twins gave Justin and Nate whatever they wanted from the lines and the guys like them so much they ended up wearing the clothes almost every day. They both have different styles, but somehow they agree on the clothes. Mary-Kate and Ashley were delighted and talked their guys into appearing in a series of ads promoting the clothing lines.
I find this rumor hard to believe. Nate and Justin don’t seem all …read more
Kristen Stewart in Elizabeth & James
November 15, 2009 by Erin Balser
Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella in Twilight, is making photocall after photocall to promote the second film in the series, New Moon. All these promotional bits means lots and lots of different outfits!
Kristen is clearly not a girly girl and is still trying to find a red carpet style that suits her. On November 12, Kristen donned the Elizabeth and James Stiletto Dress for a photocall at the Villa Magna Hotel in Madrid.
I like this dress and think it really suits Kristen. It’s not yet available in stores, but I’m hoping it will be soon!
