A friend of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s, Carlos Lopez, put this great video together as a tribute to all their friends and how these friends made her life better. It’s loaded with personal shots of MK, Ashley and others doing normal things like karaoke and hanging out. There’s also glimpses of them doing awesome things too, like attending fashion shows. Lindsay Lohan, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, Vanessa and Victoria Traina, Mischa Barton, and Lauren Conrad all make brief appearances in the video too.

The video begins with a letter, which reads:

Dear Friends,

We all come from different walks of life. With our own dreams and goals. Aspirations driven by passion and passion that aspires us to be driven. Finding myself wonderfully lost in my wanderlust. I came, I saw, I cheers’d, I danced and most importantly I laughed with good company. I give this tribute to you as a thank you. The life experiences I gained are ones that dreams are mad of. Now, I dream of new chapters to be written. This is where my story begins.

I think the video is really well done and it’s so much fun to get these little glimpses into Mary-Kate and Ashley’s personal life. This video is a nice tribute to the girls and their friends.

Mary-Kate Olsen is truly a fashion jet-setter. After spending the past few weeks in Milan with boyfriend Nate Lowman for their fashion week, Elle UK spotted MK arriving in Paris to party with models Jessica Stam and Angela Lindval.

The trio was spotted at Paris’s hottest hang-out, Chez Regine last night.

I can only hope candids of MK in Paris pop up. I was disappointed there was nothing from Milan. I love her style in Paris–it’s different from what she wears in the States!

Nina Garcia, Project Runway judge and fashion industry expert, recently made the move from Elle to Marie Claire. Marie Claire decided to celebrate by having all of Nina’s celebrity friends over for a big bash.

Guests included Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Lindsay Lohan, Heidi Klum and more.

Ashley kept it simple in a white t-shirt and slouchy cardigan whereas MK donned a cute black hat and voluminous black top.

So much for those silly rumors! Mary-Kate Olsen sat front row with pal Nicole Richie at the Proenza Schouler show yesterday at New York Fashion Week. MK wore the same large swing coat she wore to the Interview party.

After the show, Nicole and Mary-Kate dined together at the Carlyle.

British fashion icon and tabloid staple Peaches Geldof is ready to take on the glitz and glamour of the USA, all thanks to Ashley Olsen.

According to the New York Post, Ashley casually mentioned that Peaches should move to NYC when they met at a party–and she’s following the advice!

Peaches is working at Nylon and studying English and Journalism at NYU’s Gallatin school–the same school that both Ashley and MK went to when they were at NYU.

I love how this is clearly a case of a very casual conversation–I doubt it was serious, well-thought out advice–that the tabloids are turning into a huge deal. I do think that NYC is a good fit for Peaches, but seriously doubt she’s changing her whole life around because of something Ashley says!

According to Life & Style, Nicole Richie is pretty upset over the photos taken of Joel Madden hanging out with Mary-Kate Olsen on a tour bus in New York City last weekend.

“After the concert, Joel invited her back to see the tour bus,” their source claims. “He showed her some baby photos of Harlow. Joel isn’t one to lie or hide things from Nicole, so the next day he told her about it on the phone.”

Despite Joel’s honesty, Nicole apparently freaked out.

“Nicole freaked out,” they continued. “Joel thought she’d respect the fact that he was trying to be honest — after all, he and Mary-Kate are just friends — but Nicole was hurt and angry. He couldn’t deal with it, so he hung up, and she kept texting him after that.”

I find this story pretty hard to believe. Not only are Nicole and MK friends, Joel’s friends with a lot of young Hollywood girls and every time he’s seen with one of them, a similar story pops up.

The Huffington Post recently interviewed Bob Saget about his upcoming roast on Comedy Central and about his relationship with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It’s a really interesting interview–he’s sick about constantly being asked about MK and Ashley, he always valued their opinions and treated them as adults and he really wants to see John Stamos in the White House.

You can read the interview for yourself here. I think what he says about MK and Ashley on Full House speaks a lot about how and why MK and Ashley are the savvy business-people they are–and why they seem so much more grown-up and unfazed by fame than a lot of young Hollywood.

Lauren Conrad proves she’s a true fan of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s Elizabeth & James line, when she stepped out in a frock from their line for the second time this week!

Lauren wore the Priscilla dress from the summer 08 line to a party at Coco De Ville in West Hollywood on July 8.

Lauren last wore the line in May. I thin k she looks great in this dress, it’s really sweet and suits her well.

In complete contrast to the story Star Magazine published this week, Fox News is reporting that Mary-Kate Olsen had a happy, healthy and alcohol-free Fourth of July weekend and pal Jessica Stam’s house in the Hamptons.

“I’ve never seen her [Mary-Kate] in such good spirits, and she didn’t look anything like her old emaciated self,” their source says. MK wore a long black sweater, drank Snapple and water and laughed a lot with Stam’s friends from NYU. The source noted that MK stayed away from the boys at the party and refused to be photographed.

I’d be inclined to believe Fox over Star any day, and it’s pretty well known that MK and Jessica are pretty good friends.

Olsen Files has photos of Mary-Kate in Soho on July 8. She’s wearing a bright red dress and some neat avant-garde jewelry.

Spencer Pratt, who is famous for being a skeeze on The Hills (and was possibly the person who leaked those photos of Mary-Kate and Ashley drinking as teenagers) is angry over the comments Mary-Kate Olsen made about him on Letterman.

“He used to play on the soccer team for my high school and he does not have a good temper,” MK said. “He walked out of a few games. He would walk off the field.”

She also said that while the two knew each other, they weren’t friends in high school. David Letterman pressed for more info but MK stayed cool and didn’t take it further. Yet, somehow, Spencer is using this moment to get in name in the papers.

“I know I’ve made it in Hollywood when a famous troll is talking about me on Letterman,” he said to US Weekly. He also said he doesn’t understand why Mary-Kate used his name to promote “her little indie film that no one is going to see.”

However, it’s hard to tell how truly pissed he is, because he used the moment to take a stab at MK too–but it could have been in jest.

“I forgive her,” he said. “She’s had to go through life as the less cute twin, which must be tough.”

Does Spencer truly think Mary-Kate was using his name as leverage? I seriously doubt it. Regardless of whether he’s angered by the comments or finds them humorous, he needs a serious ego check.
