Ashley Olsen has been laying pretty low n Los Angeles this past week. My guess is she’s spending a lot of time with boyfriend Justin Bartha. The two of them were spotted in Beverly Hills on August 29 picking up what I think is food. Ashley was talking on her cell phone while Justin waiting patiently .

Later, the twosome were spotted carrying a large brown bag. Ashley had her arm around Justin’s waist.

Earlier the same day, Ashley was seen leaving the Neil George Hair Salon. Her hair was wet and she was wearing a different outfit–brown pants and a loose gray shirt. She was also carrying coffee!

Mary-Kate Olsen has been doing a lot of press lately. This week, Pop Sugar UK caught up with her as she chatted about The Wackness.

As we know, Mary-Kate is seriously pursuing acting now. However, her years as a child star didn’t exactly spawn this new-found passion.

“I was never challenged when it came to acting when I was younger and I sort of just did whatever was given to me without asking questions,” she said to Pop Sugar. “I didn’t really understand why I enjoyed it or why I did it and I guess I wasn’t quite sure about it anymore. I made the decision to take acting seriously after high school. When I was in my Freshman year at college (at NYU) I took some acting classes and found that I fell in love with acting again.”

The interview is all about the film, what it was like to work with Ben Kingsley and Jonthan Levine and how she feels about her character, Union.

Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted getting into her car in Los Angeles after running some errands yesterday. She was wearing yet another plaid shirt, this time it was red with blue.

Plaid was in a lot of Fall 2008 shows this year, so MK is very on-trend.

There isn’t much to the photo set–she’s walks to her car and gets in, ignoring the photographers in the process, but you can see them here.

Mary-Kate Olsen was spotted leaving a Radiohead concert in Los Angeles last night. She was wearing an oversized green flannel shirt. She tried to hide her face from the paparazzi, but appears to give up.

You’ll also notice in some of the pictures, she’s really sucking her cheeks in. I’ve never been a fan of when she or Ashley does that and could never figure out why.

It’s official–Ashley Olsen is a designing superstar. While Vogue has always given Ashley and sister Mary-Kate props for their distinctive personal sense, the praise given to their high-end fashion line The Row (although Vogue says Ashley is the sole designer!) is pretty fantastic. Even the mag itself admits they are amazed they are including the relatively new line in a piece about Karl Lagerfield and Azzedine Alaia.

British fashion icon and tabloid staple Peaches Geldof is ready to take on the glitz and glamour of the USA, all thanks to Ashley Olsen.

According to the New York Post, Ashley casually mentioned that Peaches should move to NYC when they met at a party–and she’s following the advice!

Peaches is working at Nylon and studying English and Journalism at NYU’s Gallatin school–the same school that both Ashley and MK went to when they were at NYU.

I love how this is clearly a case of a very casual conversation–I doubt it was serious, well-thought out advice–that the tabloids are turning into a huge deal. I do think that NYC is a good fit for Peaches, but seriously doubt she’s changing her whole life around because of something Ashley says!

In honor of the Irish premiere of The Wackness, starring Ben Kingsley, Josh Peck, Olivia Thirlby and Mary-Kate Olsen, Movies.ie interviewed Mary-Kate about her experience filming the movie. They chat about working with Ben Kingsley, MK’s infamous kissing scene, being constantly followed by the paparazzi, and where she sees her career going.

I love this quote about her professional limits. When asked what MK would and would not do for her career:

“I’m never going on the cover of Maxim - at all!” she said. “I only go along with what I am comfortable with.”

There isn’t anything new in the interview, but it’s good to see that Mary-Kate is dedicated to the marketing of the film. She’s serious about her acting career and tirelessly working to promote herself and her movies will only do her good.

Mary-Kate Olsen and her boyfriend artist Nate Lowman were spotted at Barbuto in downtown New York City on August 23. MK and Nate looked very happy and were openly affectionate with each other, openly kissing and smiling!

Both were wearing plaid again!

Jerry O’Connell and wife Rebecca Romijn of Ugly Betty are pregnant with twins. Earlier this week, they chatted with Entertainment Tonight about what they are planning on naming them.

“We were joking about calling them Mary-Kate and Ashley,” Jerry joked. “I’m not kidding. I really thought about that.”

They are also considering naming the babies Hansel and Gretel if it’s a boy and a girl.

It’s fun to see some celebrities have a sense of humor about the whole weird baby name phenomenon. However, I’m sure if they did name their kids after MK and Ash, the poor kids would never hear the end of it at school.
